Michelle Williams in Chanel

One can never really go wrong when wearing Chanel, and Chanel at the Oscars is just the epitome of glamorous. Michelle Williams wore this elegant Haute Couture Chanel gown, and was therefore the Chanel queen of the evening. It is a very beautiful dress (and much prettier seen on tv than on photos!), but I can't help but feel that I wish she had been a bit more bold with her choice of dress as she was nominated for "Actress in a leading role" for her part in Blue Valentine.



That said, I do like the Edie Sedgwick vibe that she oozes with the blonde pixie haircut and the dyed eyebrows. Maybe this is how Edie would look like if she attended the Oscars? The only difference might have been that Edie would have worn huge earrings and a lot of black eyeliner.

Eva and Zoe in Graphic Prints

Last night, the 2011 Independent Spirit Awards was held in California. Actresses Eva Mendes and Zoe Saldana are both known for their impeccable styles, and they did not disappoint this evening either. Both opted for dresses in graphic prints, worn with colourful heels and large statement rings. Eva Mendes chose a dress from Chanel's S/S 2011 collection and teamed it together with turquoise heels by Pierre Hardy and a Le Vian ring.

Zoe Saldana wore a dress by Dolce & Gabbana from their S/S 2011 collection. A pair of orange Brian Atwood pumps decorated her feet, and her accessories for the evening was a clutch by Bottega Veneta and Piaget jewelry.

Last night, it was time for the premiere of the film "Never Let Me Go" starring Keira Knightley, Carey Mulligan and Andrew Garfield. For the premiere Keira Knightley showed up in this incredible piece by Chanel, and in the words of Rachel Zoe: "I die!". This dress is beyond amazing. Just look at the tailoring and the beading! And I will not begin to talk about the back of the dress or I'll never stop. This is a dress that Keira should definitely never let go.

The French Women at Chanel

This morning, I was extremely excited when I woke up as today was the showing of the Chanel collection. I highly doubt that there exists a woman who doesn't have a weak spot for Chanel. Especially French women. I have this glorified image that every French woman has a little bit of pure Chanel running through their veins. It's what makes them so very chic, which Vanessa Paradis, Clemence Poesy, Lou Lesage, Lou Doillon and Virginie Ledoyen all proved at the Chanel show.
