Mischa Barton has been missing lately from the Hollywood scene (for the most part), but she’s about to come back in a whole new way – as a fashion designer! Mischa shares that she’s launching a new clothing line.

“My line is going to reach women in their teens, 20s and 30s who want to be fashionable but (at) an affordable price. It doesn’t have to be deadly expensive to get amazing clothes.”

I have to admit that I’m a sucker for celebrity lines – when the price is right. I loved Sarah Jessica Parker’s pieces for her ‘Bitten’ line and now I see that Lauren Conrad has a line with Kohl’s Department Stores. I’m curious what Mischa’s picks will look like.

Mischa Barton Biography:
Mischa Anne Marsden Barton born 24 January 1986 is an English - American fashion model, film, television, and stage actress, best known for her role as Marissa Cooper in the American television series The O.C..

Mischa Barton was born in Hammersmith, West London, England, to an Irish mother, Nuala, a photographer, and a Mancunian English father, Paul Marsden Barton, a foreign exchange broker. She has two sisters, younger Hania and elder Zoe, a barrister in London. Her father's work took the family to New York City when Barton was six, and ten days after her twentieth birthday, she became a naturalised citizen of the United States in 2006. Retaining her British citizenship, Barton in reference to her English roots states, "I actually feel more comfortable in England a lot of the time" yet stresses that, "I like people to discern that I'm an English-Irish girl who grew up in New York." Barton graduated from the Professional Children's School in Manhattan in 2004, and took a summer short course called Acting Shakespeare at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, in June and July 2006, at Sir Richard Attenborough's urging, after he directed her in Closing the Ring.

Always up for a fun-filled event, Mischa Barton attended an exclusive “Simply Stylist” party in West Hollywood, California on Monday evening (October 11).

The former “OC” babe looked glamorous in a black velvet ensemble as she posed for pictures during the posh Caro Marketing event.

Aside from her nightlife loving nature, the 24-year-old actress recently filmed an episode for the “Fearne and….” show and is none too pleased with the way Fearne Cotton portrayed her.

Barton told, “I think that Fearne Cotton's show is a joke and she's a joke. I can't hear Fearne's name without seeing red, because it seems to me that she just wants to further her career by talking about young actresses and not in a particularly positive way.”

She added, “I cried my eyes out when I first saw it because I was like: 'Are you kidding me? This is the way you want to portray me? I've let you into my life.'' (Hollywood Gossip)

All Eyes Are On Mischa Barton

The world is a buzz over Mischa Barton's new reality show. I am actually really looking forward to seeing this girl get back on the right track. I mean - WHAT WENT WRONG? She's beautiful. She's talented. She's got a great body of work on her resume. It just doesn't make sense.

The paps are starting to really follow Mischa around a lot which is a good sign that people are interested. Hopefully the extra press will get this girl on someone's payroll!
