All red with a touch of black.
I think this is utterly brilliant.
And I admire Miroslava so much for being bold enough to wear so much red at once.

Red Is The New Black For Me

I might have mentioned before that one of my favourite colours is red. Even though I love the colour a lot, I do not wear it all that often, but strangely enough, during December I wear it quite often. My warm feelings for red becomes turn into a kind of obsession in the last month of the year. It's a strange habit of mine, and I have come to the conclusion that it must have something to do with the season we're in at the moment. Red is the Christmas colour after all!

So, as the Polyvore addict that I am (and I know I'm not alone), I decided to put together a few outfits, each with a red piece. I like dividing my collages into day and night because I often just swap out a few things before going out again. I just find that a lot easier, especially when I'm in a rush (which I am most of the time) than create a whole new outfit.

Do you wear a lot of red?

natalie's french affair

In a few weeks a dear friend of mine is moving to Paris to study le fashion. Me, jealous? Of course! Ahh, how I wish she could just pack me in her suitcase and take me with her. Because she is leaving, a big bunch of us are throwing her a going-away party and guess what the theme is? France! I know, I know..we're super inventive. All the food and drink will be french, pictures of the Eiffel-tower, Notre Dame, the Louvre etc. will be put on the walls and everyone have to dress in one (or more) colour(s) of the French flag.

As I love wearing blue, white and red, I have a very hard time deciding which colour to wear. Searching for some inspiration, I discovered that while at the Cannes Festival, Natalie Portman was seen in a blue Lanvin dress, a white Givenchy dress and a red Lanvin dress. A lucky coincidence? I don't think so. I love the thought put into this, creating a fun completeness and making the French probably adore her even more!

Maybe I should do a Natalie and go for 3 different dresses in all the colours? Though that might be taking it too far and make me seem like a diva when the going-away party is just in one evening, and not three.

All I Can See Is Red, Red, Red

Alrighty. I'm late with this Valentine's post, natch. So here goes a very speedy digest version, aka PART 1.

($115, Talla Alexis, LuvCharlie.com)
Perfect spring top and totes layerable for the freezingness of now.

($68, Splendid Thread Social for Glamour, Shopbop.com)
This top has a fun Peter Max feel, and it goes to a good cause (not sure what, but I'm sure it's good!), and it seems to be a perfect style for those afflicted with larger chests since it minimizes at the top. Or maybe I'm completely wrong.

($16, ShopSueyBoutique.com)
Super cute and not overdone. I like the beige too. I think we'll see lots this spring.

($144, Fighting Eel, ActiveEndeavors)
Gorgeous and versatile.

($24, Life Stride, SveteCouture.com)
Cute! Vintage! Sorta Factory Girl, minus the obnoxiousness of Sienna!

($6, VintageAmore.com)

RED HOT CHILLI DRESSES
Yes, you guessed right...my next post is all about red! Red is the colour of passion and romance, and you have to be a really brave woman to carry this feisty colour. Many people think they don't suit red, and quite right...it is a difficult colour to wear. But don't despair if you are one of these people...just have a look at the pictures below and you are bound to get some inspiration on how to wear it your way =) But most importantly (and bear this in mind) that red is for those who want to get noticed...keep it elegant, keep it passionate, but most of all keep it hot ;-)
